Blog Talk About Career Ownership | Thinking Rich | Inner Experience

Mind Your Own Career: Your Guide to Right Working for Right Living can help you to explore important questions about how you, your work, your career and your life are integrated, and to understand, and even to change, the answers you find.

The guide lays a foundation with a basic philosophy and some practical tips for changing your answers to these questions, so your answers become more suitable for who you are, what you need and what you want – in your work, as well as in your larger life.

Making It Work For You

Your work is a natural part of who you are. You bring your purpose, integrity, values and needs to your work, and can deliberately create work habits that protect yourself while creating results that are meaningful for you.

You can always spot work that is not working for you by the evidence it leaves in other areas of your inner and/or outer experience.

Although it is not the culprit in all cases, your work can easily consume the better part of your time, energy and attention, leaving little or nothing for healthy non-work experience. Or, your work may be getting too little of your time, energy and attention, leading you to demand and expect too much of your other experiences.

Signs that your inner experiences are compromised include: a sense of limited possibilities, an inability to focus, accepting too much or too little and chaotic or obsessive thinking.

Signs that your outer experiences are compromised include: poor personal relationships, too much or too little "free" time to do whatever you want, boring or high stress work and little or no investment in yourself or others.

To always be true to yourself, know, accept and protect yourself.

To do the right thing at the right time, learn to generate timely and appropriate actions and to cultivate effective habits.

To be happy, recognize and realize true rewards.
